!!

My hair is bleached, its pale yellow, its like chewing-gum and still wet and I'v smashed an egg in it. I've never bleached my hair before and to be honest I'm a bit worried, hope it will build up again. Any experiences out here?

I used to bleach my hair and I remember it being like chewing gum at first, but with the right products it gets slightly stronger and softer. Bleach really damages the hair though, it swells and gets very dry. Make sure you protect it with a hat or something is you go to the swimming pool otherwise it might turn green. The tricky part is to bleach the dark roots. Did you do it yourself? It looks good.

thanks Ditte. it feels good to know im not the only one with this texture. my flatmate bleached it with salon products, i knew it would get damaged but not this much. luckily i dont have to worry about dark roots as light blonde is my natural color, this was also the reason i chose to bleach it; i was tired of dying my blonde roots every 3rd week.

take a 'beer-shower' , i have tried it a couple of years ago and it works! (make your hair wet with beer and, take 10 minutes break and wash your hair with shampoo and conditioner.)

Bleaching is very hard on your hair, I did small sections in my bangs years ago and it was so dry and brittle and I always had to put lots of product in it. This stuff is awesome, you should try it. An old hairdresser turned me on to it.

I used to have platinum hair and now it is a little darker but I have lots of experience! I would suggest going out and buying a really good conditioner or conditioning mask. Kerastase is great. You have to change your products when you do drastic things to your hair! good luck.

i currently have very short platinum blond hair, have to dye it every 5 weeks (only the roots) and every time my sides get cut and the ends ,want to grow my fring/scalp-top long. even though it gets cut every 5 weeks it is still very dry, use good products by l'oreal professional and tigi, to get the yellow out try the silver from l'oreal professional expert serie. i use this once a week to get rid of the yellowish that gets in off styling products and other pollution :) im sure that if you use some good masks it will turn out fine.

Ive been putting bleach in my hair since i was about 12! just don't fiddle with it for a while with blowdrys and stuff; avocado oil is good also, just pour it on your hair and then wrap ip up in cling-film for a bit, it will be all silky afterwards. x

Yeah it's supposed to be gummy, but after a while it gets better.
I cut everything though, because in the end (after so much of bleaching) it was a disaster and not to be fixed with all the eggs/beer/advocados in the world.
Looks nice!
